Fan, Cooling: Removal: 3.6L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the push fasteners and the upper front fascia closeout.

  4. Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (2).
  5. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the cooling fan assembly to the radiator.
  6. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .

  7. Remove the fasteners and then the lower fascia closeout panel (2).

  8. Remove the five push fasteners (2) and the lower radiator air deflector (1).

  9. Remove the fasteners (1) from the left radiator mount bracket (2) and remove the bracket.
  10. Remove the fasteners (4) from the right radiator mount bracket (3) and remove the bracket.

  11. Using care, lift the cooling fan assembly slightly upward to release it from the mounting brackets

  12. Tilt the bottom of the cooling fan assembly towards the engine, then lower the cooling fan assembly from the engine compartment.
