Steering System: Gear: Installation

  1. Install the steering gear (1) onto the crossmember (3).
  2. Install the steering gear to crossmember bolts (4) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the front suspension crossmember (3). Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
    NOTE:

    If removed, install the power transfer unit. Refer to  INSTALLATION  . 

  4. If a NEW  steering gear is installed, programming is required. Refer to EPS LEARN PROCEDURE .
