1. Install the generator to the engine block. Tighten the bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
2. Install the positive cable to the rear of the generator stud. Tighten the nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
3. Connect the field generator harness connector.

4. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
6. Install the engine cover.
