Steering System: Description
This vehicle comes with Electric Power Steering (EPS) as standard equipment and it is the only steering system available. The power steering system consists of these major components:
- Rack and Pinion Steering Gear with EPS assist.
- Steering Column.
- Inner and Outer Tie Rod Ends.
NOTE:
The EPS system is a dry gear system. The EPS system does not contain any hydraulic components such as:
- A belt-driven hydraulic pump.
- Any high-pressure hydraulic hoses.
- Power steering fluid.
The EPS system will not experience a hydraulic leak. If fluid is detected at the front of the vehicle, on or near the steering gear, investigate other systems.
