CAUTION:

Steering column module is centered to the vehicles steering system. Failure to keep the system and steering column module centered and locked/inhibited from rotating can result in steering column module damage.

NOTE:

When removing and installing the column to service the upper intermediate shaft, it is not necessary to remove the steering wheel and Steering Column Control Module; the column can be removed and installed as an assembly.

Slide upper intermediate shaft (3) onto splines of steering wheel assembly (2).
Install coupler pinch bolt (1) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.)
Install column in vehicle. Refer to COLUMN, INSTALLATION .
