Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Are there any BCM CAN BUS DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to the DTC INDEX article and perform the appropriate symptom. Perform the diagnostic procedure for DTC U0001-CAN C BUS first if it is present.
- Perform NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go to 2.
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
- FINAL DRIVE CONTROL MODULE DTCS PRESENT
- With the scan tool, read Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) DTCs.
Are there any FDCM DTCs present?
Yes
- Refer to the DTC INDEX article and perform the appropriate symptom(s).
No
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance to the Service Information.
- Perform NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) DTCs.
