CAUTION:

If a new powertrain control module is being installed, use a scan tool to reprogram the new module with the original vehicle identification number (VIN) and original mileage. If this step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set.

  1. If removed, position the ground strap (3) onto the most forward lower PCM mounting stud.
  2. Position the PCM onto the mounting studs and tighten the nuts (2, 4) to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs).
  3. Install the PCM electrical connectors (1).
  4. Install the battery negative cable.
