1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover (1).

3. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
4. Remove the three push pins (1) and the lower splash shield (2).

5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
7. Remove the lower generator bolt (4).
8. Remove the nut (2) the ground cable (1), and stud (3) from the bottom of generator.

9. Disconnect the field generator wire harness connector (3).
10. Remove the protective cover (1) from the B+ cable (6).
11. Remove the two upper bolts (5) and the generator (4).
