Sensor, Crankshaft Position: Removal: 2.4L

NOTE:

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located at the rear of the cylinder block, near the transmission.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the heat shield retaining bolt.
Remove the heat shield.
Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor.

Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt.
Remove the sensor.
