Module, Compass: Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Remote Compass Module (RCM) (2) in the console.
  2. Install the four fasteners (5) that secure the RCM to the overhead console (1).
  3. Install the overhead console assembly. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Perform the Compass Variance Adjustment. Refer to MODULE, COMPASS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Perform the Manual Compass Calibration. Refer to MODULE, COMPASS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  7. Verify proper compass operation.
