COIL, Ignition: Installation: 5.7L

  1. Before installing the ignition coil, apply dielectric grease to the inside of the spark plug boots (1).

  2. Position the ignition coil into cylinder head opening and push both spark plug boots onto each spark plug.
  3. Install the two coil retaining bolts (3) and tighten to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
  4. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector (1) and lock the connector.

  5. Position the engine cover (1) and secure the retaining grommets onto the ball studs.

  6. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut (1) to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
