Theory Of Operation

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the Transmission Fluid Temperature by the use of two Temperature sensors. One temperature sensor is located in the valve body (Oil temperature sensor) and the other is located in the TCM (Hybrid temperature sensor). If the TCM detects improper operation this DTC will set.
