Charging System (Service Information): Description: Description

The charging system consists of:

• Generator
• Clutch Pulley (Diesel Only)
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
• Ignition switch (refer to SWITCH, IGNITION )
• Battery (refer to BATTERY for information)
• Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped)
• Voltmeter (refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - SERVICE INFORMATION if equipped)
• Wiring harness and connections (refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article)
• Accessory drive belt (refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE for more information)
