Diagnostic Test

  1. SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

    Repair 

    • Using the schematics as a guide, check the Shift Lever Assembly (SLA) Electronic Shift Module (ESM) terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace the Shift Lever Assembly per the Service Information. Refer to Shift Mechanism for the appropriate service procedures. See SHIFTER, TRANSMISSION .
    • Perform NAG1 TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Transmission Control (TCM) - Standard Procedure .
