Sensor - Fuel Level: Removal: AWD

  1. Release fuel pressure from the fuel system, see STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the fuel tank assembly, see REMOVAL .
    NOTE: Mark the location of the fuel level sensor prior to removal. The fuel level sensor has to be properly located in the fuel tank for the fuel gauge to work properly.
  3. Remove the fuel level sensor lock ring (2) using special tool 9318.

  4. Remove fuel level sensor from fuel tank.
  5. Disconnect fuel transfer tube quick connect fitting from fuel level sensor.

  6. Remove the fuel level sensor O-ring gasket.
