Module - Fuel Pump

  1. Install fuel pump module into fuel tank.
  2. Connect siphon and fuel line to fuel pump module.
  3. Connect wire connector to passenger side level sensor.
  4. Connect fuel pump electrical connector to bottom of module top.

    CAUTION: The fuel pump module top and bottom need to be correctly installed in order for the fuel level to be on the correct side of the fuel tank. If installed incorrectly, the fuel level arm will not be in the correct position inside the fuel tank and cause as inaccurate reading.
  5. Install module top short rod (4) to the module bottom (3) and the module top long rod (1) to the module bottom (2) as shown for proper orientation of the module within the fuel tank. When the fuel pump module is installed inside the fuel tank the fuel level arm will be facing toward the rear of the fuel tank.

  6. Install fuel pump module gasket and lock ring. Make sure the seal is properly seated in the tank groove.
    NOTE: Use a brass punch to install the 1/4 turn lock ring.
  7. Connect vapor line and electrical connector.
  8. Install fuel tank, see INSTALLATION .
  9. Connect negative battery cable.
  10. Fill fuel tank. Use the scan tool to pressurize fuel system. Check for leaks.
