Engine Control Module (ECM)

  1. Remove air inlet duct (3).
  2. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect vacuum hose (1).
  4. Remove air cleaner housing assembly (2). Refer to appropriate ENGINE - SERVICE INFORMATION article.

  5. Disconnect both ECM (2) electrical connectors by pulling tabs at ends of connectors.
  6. Remove ECM bracket retaining bolts and remove ECM (2) and bracket assembly from vehicle.
  7. Remove ECM to bracket retaining nuts and remove ECM from bracket.
