Engine Control Module (ECM)

  1. Install ECM on mounting bracket. See Fig 1. Torque nuts to 10.7N.m (95 lbs. in.).
  2. Install ECM (2) and mounting bracket assembly in vehicle. See Fig 1.
  3. Connect both ECM (2) electrical connectors.

  4. Install air cleaner housing assembly (2). Refer to appropriate ENGINE - SERVICE INFORMATION article.
  5. Connect vacuum hose (1).
  6. Connect negative battery cable.
  7. Install air inlet tube (3).
  8. Reprogram ECM. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
