Theory Of Operation

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the operation of all pressure control solenoids. If a fault is detected during testing, the transmission line pressure will be raised to maximum line pressure to avoid damage to the transmission. It takes two consecutive one trip failures to set this DTC and illuminate the MIL.
