Cable-Speed Control Servo

  1. Remove the air cleaner lid and makeup air hose. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the engine cover and throttle control shield, if equipped.
  4. Remove two nuts attaching speed control cable and mounting bracket to servo. See Fig 1.
  5. Remove servo from the mounting bracket.
  6. Disconnect electrical connector and vacuum hose.

  7. Remove retaining clip holding cable to servo.

  8. Remove throttle cable clasp from the throttle body cam. See Fig 3.
  9. Remove speed control cable from throttle cam by sliding clasp out hole used for throttle cable.

  10. Compress the retaining tabs on the cables and slide cables out of bracket. See Fig 4.
