Diagnostic Test

- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
- Operate the Passenger Window Motor in both directions several times.
- Cycle the ignition from on to off.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 90A8-PASSENGER WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT - HIGH TEMPERATURE OPERATION?
Yes
- Go to step 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Check for any binding conditions in the window track and using the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
- WINDOW MOTOR
- Remove the inner door trim panel.
- Check for any binding conditions in the regulator and track.
Was any binding conditions found?
Yes
- Repair or replace the cause of the binding condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Replace the Window Motor in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
