Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
    3. Close all doors.
    4. Operate the door lock switch both directions a few times.
    5. Wait 30 seconds.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display 906F-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. DOOR LATCH

    1. Disconnect the Passenger Door Latch connector.
    2. Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the Passenger Door Lock Driver circuit and the other end to the Passenger Door Unlock Driver circuit.
    3. Operate the door lock switch in both directions a few times.

      Does the test light illuminate brightly when the switch is operated in both directions?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. PASSENGER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Body Control Module C9 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the Passenger Door Unlock Driver circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. PASSENGER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Measure the resistance between ground and the Passenger Door Lock Driver circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  5
  5. PASSENGER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE PASSENGER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT

    1. Measure the resistance between the Passenger Door Lock Driver circuit and the Passenger Door Unlock Driver circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
