Diagnostic Test

- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
- Operate the right rear vent motor in both directions several times.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 906C-RIGHT VENT WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go to step 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
- REAR VENT MOTOR
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Disconnect the Right Rear Vent Motor connector.
- Operate the right rear vent switch in both directions several times.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 906C-RIGHT VENT WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?
No
- Replace the Right Rear Vent Motor in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
Yes
- Go to step 3
- RIGHT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (OPEN) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Body Control Module C3 connector.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Open) circuit.
Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Open) circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Go to step 4
- RIGHT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (CLOSE) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure the resistance between ground and the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit.
Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Go to step 5
- Measure the resistance between ground and the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit.
- RIGHT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (CLOSE) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE RIGHT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (OPEN) CIRCUIT
- Measure the resistance between the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit and the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (open) circuit.
Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit for a shot to the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (open) circuit
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Body Control (BCM) - Standard Procedure .
- Measure the resistance between the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit and the Right Rear Vent Window Driver (open) circuit.
