Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
    3. Operate the left rear vent motor in both directions several times.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display 9069-LEFT VENT WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. REAR VENT MOTOR

    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Disconnect the Left Rear Vent Motor connector.
    3. Operate the left rear vent switch in both directions several times.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display 9069-LEFT VENT WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      No 

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3
  3. LEFT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (OPEN) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Body Control Module C3 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the Left Rear Vent Window Driver (Open) circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. LEFT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (CLOSE) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Measure the resistance between ground and the Left Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  5
  5. LEFT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (CLOSE) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE LEFT REAR VENT WINDOW DRIVER (OPEN) CIRCUIT

    1. Measure the resistance between the Left Rear Vent Window Driver (Close) circuit and the Left Rear Vent Window Driver (open) circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
