Diagnostic Test

WARNING: Resetting the coding irrevocably deletes the current coding in the control unit!
WARNING: Store the current coding using menu 'Data management' as a precaution.
  1. 1) TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 

    With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.

    Using the scan tool, Initialize control unit.

    Using the scan tool, perform Programmable Special Module (PSM) Reset ECU and Load Coding for vehicle application.

    Cycle the ignition on and off three times, turn the ignition on.

    With the scan tool, read DTC's.

    Does the scan tool display this DTC as active? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace the Programmable Special Module (PSM) in accordance with the service information.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

    No 

    1. Test Complete.
