Battery HOLDDOWN: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable or remote negative battery post.
  2. On gasoline engine vehicles, remove the air cleaner housing (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) or (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) .
  3. On diesel engine equipped vehicles, remove the front passengers seat, (Refer to BODY/SEATS/SEAT - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the battery hold down retaining bolt(s).
  5. Remove the battery hold down from the vehicle.
