Description - Charging System

The charging system consists of:
- Generator
- Decoupler Pulley (If equipped)
- Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- Ignition switch (refer to the IGNITION CONTROL article for information)
- Battery (refer to the BATTERY SYSTEM for information)
- Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature 1.6L)
- Battery Temperature Sensor (2.0L, 2.4L, and 2.4L turbo)
- Voltmeter (refer to the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - SERVICE INFORMATION article for information if equipped)
- Wiring harness and connections (refer to the WIRING DIAGRAM INFORMATION for information)
- Accessory drive belt (refer to BELT-ACCESSORY DRIVE for more information)
