If valve body assembly is reconditioned, the PCM/TCM Quick Learn Procedure must be performed. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Install valves and springs. See Fig 1.

1 - REMOVER/INSTALLER 6302 2 - RETAINER - Install regulator valve spring retainer (2). See Fig 2using remover/installer 6302 (1).
1 - REMOVER/INSTALLER 6301 2 - RETAINER - Install dual retainer plate (2) using remover/installer 6301 (1). See Fig 3.
1 - RETAINER 2 - RETAINER - Verify that all retainers are installed (1,2). See Fig 4. Retainers should be flush or below valve body surface.
1 - (#4) BALL CHECK LOCATION 2 - (#2) BALL CHECK LOCATION 3 - RETAINER 4 - (#3) BALL CHECK LOCATION 5 - LOW/REVERSE SWITCH VALVE 6 - T/C LIMIT VALVE - Install check balls into position (1,2 and 4). See Fig 5. If necessary, secure them with petrolatum or transmission assembly gel for assembly ease.
1 - THERMAL VALVE - Install thermal valve (1) into transfer plate. See Fig 6.
1 - SEPARATOR PLATE 2 - VALVE BODY - Install separator plate (1) to valve body (2). See Fig 7.
1 - OVERDRIVE CLUTCH (#5) CHECK VALVE - Install the overdrive clutch (#5) check valve (1). See Fig 8to separator plate.
1 - OIL SCREEN - Install oil screen (1). See Fig 9to separator plate.
1 - TRANSFER PLATE - Install transfer plate (1). See Fig 10to valve body and separator plate. Make sure oil screen and #5 check valve do not bind.
1 - SCREW (24) 2 - TRANSFER PLATE 3 - VALVE BODY - Install twenty-four transfer plate to valve body screws (1) and torque to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.). See Fig 11.
1 - VALVE BODY 2 - RETAINER PLATE 3 - DETENT SPRING 4 - SPRINGS 5 - SEALS 6 - PISTON - Install 2/4 Accumulator components (2,3,4,5 and 6). See Fig 12.
1 - 2-4 ACCUMULATOR RETAINING PLATE 2 - DETENT SPRING - Torque 2/4 Accumulator retainer (1) to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.). See Fig 13.
1 - TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR 2 - MANUAL SHAFT / ROOSTER COMB 3 - ROOSTER COMB - Install Manual Shaft/Rooster Comb (3) and Transmission Range Sensor (1). See Fig 14.
1 - TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR 2 - MANUAL VALVE CONTROL PIN 3 - RETAINING SCREW - Make sure Manual Valve control pin (2) is contained within the rooster comb slot. Install Transmission Range Sensor retaining screw (3) and torque to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.). See Fig 15.
1 - SEAL 2 - MANUAL SHAFT - Install manual shaft seal (1). See Fig 16.
