Throttle Body: Removal: 3.5L

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the air cleaner box, (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) - 3.5L, (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) - 3.8L .
  4. Hold throttle lever in wide open position. Remove throttle cable and speed control cables from throttle arm.
  5. Remove throttle cable bracket. See Fig 1.

    1 - Throttle Body
    2 - Throttle Position Sensor
    3 - Idle Air Control Motor
  6. Disconnect electrical connectors from throttle body. See Fig 2.
  7. Remove 3 throttle body bolts.

  8. Remove throttle body. See Fig 3.
  9. Clean mating surfaces.
