Instrument Cluster: Description: Notes

The Instrument Cluster (IC) is located in the instrument panel and provides the driver with vehicle speed (speedometer), engine speed (tachometer), fuel level (fuel gauge), engine temperature (temperature gauge), gear position (PRNDL), odometer and two trip odometers with Mi or Km unit displayed and compass mini trip information. The instrument cluster displays various status and warning messages using a reconfigurable Vacuum Fluorescent (VF) display. Fixed ISO indicators and the fixed VF displays provide the following status and warning indicators using hard indicators: See Fig 1.

1. Low Fuel (Amber LED)
2. High Engine Temperature (Red LED)
3. Right and Left Turn Signals (Green LED's)
4. ABS (Amber LED)
5. Traction Control or Acceleration Skid Control (ASR) - (Amber LED)
6. Brake (Red LED)
7. Seat Belt (Red LED)
8. Airbag (Red LED)
9. Battery Charging Failure (Red LED)
10. High Beam (Blue LED)
11. Oil Pressure (Red LED)
12. Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (Amber LED)
13. Front Fog lamps (Green LED)
14. Cruise Set (Right VF Display)
15. Overdrive Off (Right VF Display)
16. AutoStick (Right VF Display)
17. Tire Pressure Monitoring (Amber LED)
18. EVIC Display (Left VF Display)

The cluster Thin Filmed Transistor (TFT) screen (if so equipped) shall have the capability to display vehicle navigation information (such as maps and turn-by-turn direction) as input by the navigation module.
