Ignition System (Service Information): Coil-Ignition: Removal: 2.0/2.4L

The electronic ignition coil pack attaches directly to the valve cover. See Fig 1.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from coil pack.
3. Remove spark plug cables from coil pack, (Refer to ELECTRICAL/IGNITION CONTROL/SPARK PLUG CABLE - REMOVAL) .
4. Remove coil pack mounting bolts.
5. Remove coil pack.
