Pitman Arm: Removal: Notes

Using Special Tool 9168 Ball Joint Puller remove the drag link from the pitman arm.

Measure the distance of point "A" between the pitman arm (2) and the steering gear (1) using a caliper gauge.

Remove the snap ring (2) that holds the pitman arm (1) on the shaft.

Remove the pitman arm by loosening the pinch bolt (1). With a prying device, remove the pitman arm from the pitman arm shaft (2).
