Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Dodge Sprinter. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: The installation position of the steering angle sensor must have the plug connection at the bottom. See Figure.
  1. Install the steering angle sensor to the column. See Figure.
  2. Reconnect the electrical connector to the steering angle sensor. See Figure.
  3. Install the clockspring (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/CLOCKSPRING - INSTALLATION) . See Figure.
  4. Install the upper and lower steering column covers. See Figure.
  5. Install the front cover. See Figure.
  6. Install the steering wheel (Refer to STEERING/COLUMN/STEERING WHEEL - INSTALLATION) .
  7. Install the airbag (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE - INSTALLATION) .
  8. Reconnect the battery.
  9. Recalibrate the steering angle sensor using the scan tool.
