Power Latch: Removal

Open the liftgate.
Open the hood, disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to INTERIOR/EXTERIOR for the procedure.
Disconnect the power latch electrical connector.

Remove the power latch retaining bolts. See Fig 1 and remove the latch assembly from the liftgate.
