Full Open Switch: Removal

Open the liftgate.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the left rear D-pillar trim panel from the vehicle. Refer to INTERIOR/EXTERIOR for the procedure.

CAUTION: Locate the two wires coming from the full open switch. On a piece of paper, note the wire color and cavity the wires are currently installed in on both the switch and connector side of the harness. This will prove helpful later.

Cut the two wires leading to the full open switch and back the wires out of the drive unit's main electrical connector. Refer to appropriate wiring information for instructions.
Using needle nose pliers, depress the full open switch's plastic retaining tabs and remove the full open switch from the drive unit assembly.
