Description - Charging System

The charging system consists of:

• Generator
• Decoupler Pulley (If equipped)
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
• Ignition switch (refer to STEERING for information)
• Battery (refer to BATTERY SYSTEM for information)
• Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature 1.6L)
• Battery Temperature Sensor (2.0L, 2.4L, and 2.4L turbo)
• Voltmeter (refer to the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for information if equipped)
• Wiring harness and connections (refer to WIRING DIAGRAM INFORMATION for information)
• Accessory drive belt (refer to COOLING for more information)
