Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description

The 4 cylinder crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the engine near the accessory drive belt (Fig 1). The 2.7L crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the transmission housing, above the differential housing (Fig 2). The bottom of the sensor is positioned next to the drive plate.
