Valve Body: Installation
- Install accumulators and springs as previously removed. Install valve body assembly to transaxle. Install and torque valve body-to-transaxle case bolts to 105 INCH Lbs. (12 N.m). See Figure and Figure .
- Install transaxle oil filter. Inspect the o-ring and replace if necessary. See Figure .
- Ensure the transaxle oil pan and transaxle case sealing surfaces are clean and dry. Install an 1/8" bead of Mopar(R) Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant to the oil pan and install. Torque oil pan-to-transaxle case bolts to 165 INCH Lbs. (19 N.m). See Figure and Figure .
- Raise engine cradle crossmember into position.
- Align index/scribe mark placed upon disassembly. Install four (4) cradle-to-body bolts and torque to 120 ft. lbs. (162 N.m).
- Lower vehicle.
- Remove engine support fixture 8534B.
- Raise vehicle.
- Install and torque engine front and rear mount-to-cradle nuts to 40 ft. lbs. (54 N.m).
- Lower vehicle.
- Connect transmission range sensor connector.
- Install manual valve lever to manual shaft.
- Install gearshift cable to manual valve lever.
- Install battery and tray.
- Connect battery negative cable.
- Fill transaxle with Mopar(R) ATF +4 Transmission fluid.
