Front Seat Back: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove seat from vehicle. (Refer to REMOVAL  ).
  3. Remove the armrest. (Refer to REMOVAL  ).
  4. Remove screw attaching front cushion shield and remove shield.
  5. Remove seat back panel from seat. (Refer to REMOVAL  ).
  6. Remove three screw attaching side cushion cover and remove cover, if equipped. (Refer to REMOVAL  ).
  7. Disengage J-straps at seat back cover opening for partial detrain of cover, to access seat back mounting screws.
  8. Remove seat back mounting screws (Fig 1 ).

  9. Remove seat back by pulling upward from seat assembly (Fig 2 ).
