Upper Control Arm: Installation
WARNING:
Tighten all bolts and nuts with the vehicle at normal ride height.
- Install the upper control arm and the bolt and nut to the body. Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle. Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the wire tie attaching the steering knuckle to the shock absorber.
- Install the front wheel and tire assembly. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Lower the vehicle and check vehicle alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
NOTE:
Clean the ball joint tapered bolt and mounting hole of the steering knuckle.
