Cruise Control Systems: Switch: Removal

WARNING: CAREFULLY READ ALL WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the steering wheel. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
Remove the clockspring. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
Remove the lower instrument panel. See BODY article.
Remove the screw (1) attaching the speed control switch to the multifunction switch.

Disconnect the electrical connectors on the steering column.
Disconnect the wiring from the column.
