Generator DECOUPLER Pulley: Removal
- Release hood latch and open hood.
- Disconnect battery negative cable.
- Raise vehicle and support.
- Remove the right front lower splash shield.
- Remove accessory drive belt, refer to the COOLING SYSTEM
for proper procedures (Fig 1
).

- Lower vehicle.
- Remove the Air Box, refer to the ENGINE
for more information.
- Remove the decoupler pulley cover.
- Use Special Tool #8433 (Fig 3
) to loosen the Generator Decoupler (Fig 2
).

- Remove the tool.
- Remove the Generator Decoupler.
