Starter Relay

Remove starter relay, located in underhood fuse/relay box. See Figure . Using jumper wires, connect battery voltage to terminal No. 3 and battery ground to terminal No. 1. With battery connected, 2 ohms or less should exist between starter relay terminals No. 2 and 5. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, replace starter relay. Remove jumper wires. With battery disconnected, continuity should not exist between starter relay terminals No. 2 and 5. If continuity exists, replace starter relay.
