Fuel Tank Differential Pressure Sensor

NOTE: For Fuel Tank Differential Pressure (FTDP) sensor circuit testing, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - SEBRING COUPE & STRATUS COUPE - 3.0L article for appropriate test. Manufacturer recommends connecting Test Connector (MB991348) to FTDP sensor during testing procedure.

Turn ignition off. Support fuel tank. Remove fuel tank band assembly. Tilt fuel tank and disconnect 3-pin FTDP sensor connector. Using test connector or jumper wires, connect all terminals on harness side of FTDP sensor connector to respective terminals on sensor side of FTDP sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe and measure voltage between FTDP sensor connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3. See Fig 1 . Voltage should be 2-3 volts. If voltage is not 2-3 volts, replace FTDP sensor.
