Fuel Tank Differential Pressure Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Stratus and 2002 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For fuel tank differential pressure sensor circuit testing, see DTC P0451: EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR RANGE/PERFORMANCE, DTC P0452: EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR LOW INPUT or DTC P0453: EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR HIGH INPUT under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - SEBRING COUPE & STRATUS COUPE - 2.4L article. Manufacturer recommends connecting Test Connector (MB991348) to fuel tank differential pressure sensor during testing procedure.

Turn ignition off. Support fuel tank. Remove fuel tank band assembly. Tilt fuel tank and disconnect Fuel Tank Differential Pressure (FTDP) sensor 3-pin connector. Using Test Connector (MB991348) or jumper wires, connect all terminals on harness side of FTDP connector to respective terminals on sensor side of FTDP connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe and measure voltage between FTDP sensor connector terminals No. 2 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Green/Yellow wire). See Fig 1 . Voltage should be 2-3 volts. If voltage is not 2-3 volts, replace FTDP.
