Power Liftgate System: Liftgate: Removal
- Release liftgate latch and open liftgate.
- Remove screws attaching liftgate wire connector to rear header.
- Disconnect liftgate wire harness from body wire harness.
- Remove liftgate upper frame molding.
- Disconnect rear window washer hose from spray nozzle.
- Support liftgate on a suitable lifting device.
- Remove screws attaching support cylinders to liftgate.
- Remove bolts attaching liftgate hinge to roof header (Fig 1
).

- With assistance, remove liftgate from vehicle.
