Gearshift Cable
- Loosen set screw and remove knob from shifter handle. See Fig 1
.
- Remove the center console. See Fig 2
.
- Adjust gearshift cable as follows:
- Place gearshift lever in the "PARK" (P) position.
- Loosen shift cable adjustment screw. See Fig 3
.
- Move transaxle manual lever to the "PARK" position.
- Verify transaxle is in "PARK" by attempting to roll vehicle in either direction.
- Tighten shift cable adjustment screw to 70 INCH Lbs. (8 N.m) torque.
- Verify proper cable adjustment. Engine should start with the shifter lever in "PARK" (P) and "NEUTRAL" (N) positions only.
- Install center console assembly. See Fig 2
.
- Install gearshift knob and tighten set screw to 17 INCH Lbs. (2 N.m) torque. See Fig 1
