Fuel Pump Module: Removal

- Fuel pump module is located on top of fuel tank. See Figure. Fuel tank must be removed for servicing of fuel pump module. Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK .CAUTION: When removing fuel pump module from fuel tank, use care, as reservoir on fuel pump module may still contain some gasoline.
- Ensure area around fuel pump module is clean. For installation reference, mark the fuel pump module location on top of the fuel tank. Using Fuel Pump Module Lock Nut Spanner Wrench (6856), remove fuel pump module lock nut. See Figure. Reservoir on fuel pump module may still contain some gasoline. Remove fuel pump module and seal from fuel tank.
