Installation (3.5L)

  1. Loosely install EGR valve and new gasket on cylinder head. Using a new gasket, loosely install the EGR tube and mounting screws. Ensure EGR pipe is parallel with mounting surface on EGR valve assembly.
  2. Tighten EGR valve assembly to cylinder head screws to specification. Tighten the EGR tube to EGR valve screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Attach electrical connector to solenoid. Install air inlet tube and resonator. Connect negative battery cable.
