Loss Of BCM Messages

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY then BODY CONTROL MODULE. If scan tool identifies or communicates with BCM, go to next step. If scan tool does not identify or communicate with BCM, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM BCM  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and back on. Wait approximately one minute. Recheck for DTCs. If LOSS OF BCM MESSAGES resets, replace Power Liftgate Module (PLGM). See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If LOSS OF BCM MESSAGES does not reset, test is complete.
